Waste prevention in the Nordics

Time and date: Thursday 20th of June, 13:00–14:30 CET
Place: Online

Waste prevention is an important topic in the Nordics and globally. In order to move towards a more circular society, we have to think about waste management and prevention on a bigger scale including policies, collaboration and looking at examples from our own and other markets. Waste prevention needs to be a natural part of every process of material production and handling.

Now, the Working Group for Circular Economy of the Nordic Council of Ministers, together with Nordic Innovation, are in the process of working on a report on promoting reuse and circular business models in the Nordics. We will be hearing about some of the key findings from this report during the webinar.

On Thursday 20th of June, top speakers from the European Commission, Tarkett, Looping, and more will gather to discuss waste prevention in the Nordics. Come and learn more about the Nordic status!

Speakers:

  • Ola Elvestuen, Deputy Chairman of Utvalget for et bærekraftig Norden

  • Dr. Kathrin Kutlescha, Policy Officer, European Comission, DG Environment, Sustainable Products Unit
